Post reading the "rules"
I must admit that I do not read the "rules" for each new sweepstakes that I enter. I do qualify for what seems to be the major requirement - I am at least 18 year old (plus, plus). Does everyone else read the "rules" before they enter?

Rita, You are not alone. In the real world, very few people read the rules. I find that to be true in both my full-time job in an office and at SweepsU.com. Reading all those details takes a lot of valuable time away from entering sweeps. That is why the SweepsU.com staff do take the time to read the rules for you before we post new sweeps. If we find any entry requirements outside the norm that we think our subscribers should know about you will see it in the "Notes" section. We also have a "comment" section so that our subscribers can share any information you have come across with other sweepers.

Of course, there are some promotions that have very detailed and varied methods of entry. If you are interested in one of these, I strongly suggest that you read those rules yourself to be certain that you understand and comply with all of them. This is especially true for skilled contests. If you are interested in one of them, make sure you know all the requirements.

I will be watching this question as I would also like to know how many people actually "read" the rules for themselves.

Rita, I am a rules reader, the staff at Sweepsu does a good job of checking out the rules for all of us, but I still check them out for myself, especially as I enter for a couple of other family members as well and what the rules say might influence who gets entered in any sweepstakes. Also, I still remember one sweepstakes, where it specifically said the envelopes had to be white and I missed that line and wasted a good half dozen stamps and envelopes and worst yet, didn't get a single entry in that drawing. But still everyone who sweeps works out the "system" that works best for them.

I don't read rules either unless I have conflicting info from another website.
