Have you ever been to a Twitter party? I invited myself to one the other day and had a great time. My main reason for attending was to try to win the prizes offered. I didn’t win any prizes, but I had a good time tweeting back and forth with other folks who came together with similar interests. It was a very fast- paced exchange of tweets but I was able to keep up most of the time. In this particular party questions were asked in order to win prizes and in between the questions, other topics related to the Hershey’s product were discussed. This Twitter party offered prizes from Hershey’s.
Here are a few things about Twitter parties that I have learned along the way:
- Check out this guide for Twitter parties: http://www.twitterpartyguide.com/what-is-a-twitter-party
- Use a free program like TweetDeck http://www.tweetdeck.com/ or TweetGrid http://tweetgrid.com/ to organize your tweets.
- Check out this site to get a calendar of the latest Twitter parties: http://www.tweeparties.com/index.html If you sign up on their site, they will send you a weekly Twitter party calendar.
- Sign up for a party—get into you comfy clothes—prepare yourself a beverage and jump into a party!!
Later--let’s get together on the forum to discuss what we have learned and won from the latest contest craze—Twitter Parties!
